We’re following the horses there
The road to the $3 million Big Dance at Royal Randwick does not begin when the final field is declared.
It begins months earlier, at racecourses across New South Wales, where horses, trainers, jockeys, owners and country communities earn their opportunity to step onto one of Australian racing’s biggest stages.
Race Day Co has already followed many of those horses through the country Cups—from their qualifying performances and near misses to the stories of the people and places behind them.
The Big Dance 2026 will be run over 1600 metres at Royal Randwick on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
